The Davis Vantage Pro 2

The Davis Vantage Pro 2 weather station is equipped with  an external anemometer, wind vane, temperature and humidity sensor which is housed within a radiation shield and a rain gauge.  The outdoor conditions are then displayed on the internal display.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The temperature and humidity sensor is one combined piece of equipment which accurately measures the outdoor temperature and humidity.  The advantage of having the temperature and humidity sensor housed in a radiation shield is so that the ambient temperature isn’t affected by the sun.  The rain gauge and radiation shield is mounted on a piece of wood which stands at 2m above the ground level.

 

The anemometer and wind vane is connected to a remote wireless device which gives a greater freedom to locate the anemometer and wind vane wherever is best suited, in this instance on a stainless steel pole above roof level.
